Finally! A blog update!
So, the news is minimal, but, here goes:
I fell climbing and hurt my ankle. Originally the doctor said I had a grade 1-2 sprain and to get some physical therapy. He also said swimming was a great idea…so, I went swimming, and lo and behold, I hurt myself even worse. Much to my chagrin, the doctor is having me do an MRI tomorrow morning so that he can guide my PT since it apparently is injured slightly differently/worse than he had originally thought so, there is that. My ankle is stupid—yippee!
However, that did not stop me from joining TeamFastt—a triathlon team!!! I have never done a triathlon, but, it seemed like not only a great way to meet people, but a good way to stay active too! I am really looking forward to when my ankle starts feeling better and I can do some training with these people!!! There was a team meeting last night and everyone is really friendly and has a great time supporting each other in the sport of triathlon. So, as expensive as it was to join, I am really excited to do it!!!
Also, it is just about time for outdoor climbing season to start!!! Another reason to be excited about this: Chris and I are taking a lead class next week!!! This means we will both be certified and knowledgeable about how to lead outdoor climbing routes (that way we don’t always have to hike around, fix the anchor, rappel down, then climb up—we can just climb up and either set gear as we go, or use bolts!!!) Really cool! The fed is buying me a new sleeping bag (woot) so it will be far more comfortable to camp :)
My job is still wonderful—really great place, still learning a ton!!! I still haven’t landed on my feet with church yet, but, we’ll get there! It helps that my triathlon team is Christian-based :) THE CONDO SOLD!!!! That is also very exciting news!
Well, anyway, time to go face traffic!
