Yeah, title says it all. I keep saying that I am going to post, and i get home and it just never seems appealing. Go figure--i spend all day on a computer and half the time when i get home I don't even want to turn mine on. Well, needless to say a lot has been going on--the likelihood of me remembering it all is pretty slim though, so here are the highlights:
Well, first off--Chris and i split up. it has been really hard--came completely out of the blue. We have a lot in common and we are very close, so we are working on putting together what it looks like for us to be friends--but it is tough. I have been a bit upset and bummed out lately (just in time for the cruddy seattle winter weather).
What will be tremendously cheering though, will be my visit to Alaska (which is also in the news). Dad and Mom have been living up in Alaska for just a bit now, with their good friends Bill and Tammy who have generously invited me to come up and spend christmas with the crew. From the sounds of things it is going to be a packed house, but should be cheerful and fun :) I am excited to see Alaska (and also for some COLD! funny thing to miss, right?)
We (being Chris, Lana, Meredith and I) tried to go hiking two weekends ago, but missed our trailhead so basically were walking on an access road for four hours, but it was enjoyable. So last weekend, Meredith, Chris and I tried our hike again--this time finding the trailhead, and successfully completing an easy, but fun hike. It was called the Cedar Butte Trail.
Hiking here can be a bit lame sometimes, i have heard. Washington keeps all their trails completely well-maintained--putting gravel down and clearing brush, adding steps, etc. It is a bit yuppie for those of us who actually enjoy the difficulty of trails, but, it does make the outdoors accessible. Meredith is still recovering from her knee surgery, and since my ankle is still not top shape, it was actually nice that the hike was easy, and spectacularly well-maintained.
Otherwise, just plowing away at work and viola (the latter of which is going somewhat poorly, but, hopefully it improves soon).
Oh--and I started putting up pictures on my Picasa account. Look for forthcoming news about that :) It is taking FOREVER!!!
