A hip hop happening week!

Things have been busy (are you surprised? I'm not!)

Work has been stinky this week--i've been feeling a little under the weather, and sleeping poorly, so going to work has been hard. Going to work is always a little bit hard, but, a little harder this week. Contributing to that is my ONGOING search of a new job. I called the 22 firms I sent out to last week--7 definite no's, 11 phone calls to return, and a few promising prospects. We'll see. If you happen to be chatting with jesus--I could *still* use a new job. Oh, and while you are chatting with said Lord, my condo still hasn't sold, bleak market that it is.

Going to chrch here is hard. I didn't realize before how much I came to rely on having friends at my church and chatting with those same people (and my awesome mentor and small group) about spiritual happenings. I am still church shopping, i suppose. I was consistently going to Overlake (which I love) but not making any friends (after four months, still), so I have been looking around a little. It is discouraging. It is almost like I was in this awesome relationship with God before leaving Colorado, but that when I moved we broke up. I know that is not the case, but, this place is not wired for organized religion--it feels so oppressive spiritually sometimes. Seattle supposedly has the most unchurched population in the entire US. Lots of reasons for all this I guess--but it makes me a little bit sad.

Anyway, tonight we go climbing, and again on saturday (and again monday!) Its nice to finally be getting some good wear on my climbing shoes (and on my poor hands! they look all scuffy and torn up always!)
